The Role
Service, maintenance, repair and installation of garage equipment
Fault finding & trouble shooting on electrical and mechanical equipment
field based travelling throughout the South Wales & South West region to customers premises
The Person
Multi skilled maintenance engineer
Electrical skills including 3 phase
Mechanical skills
Minimum of apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
Experience of garage equipment would be preferred
Able to work on own initiative
Hold full driving licence

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the continued delivery of excellent customer service to our UK wide customer base.
You will be responsible for the efficient planning of the reactive and preventative workload of a team of skilled engineers. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. CALIBRATION AND REPAIR SERVICES LTD - FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
Due to internal re-organisation, C.A.R.S.Ltd, have a vacancy for a field service engineer in the north west/east of England.
The position will initially include service, installation, maintenance and repair of vehicle lifts and brake testers, and after training, the calibration of emissions test equipment to UKAS standards. 2012 will also see us pursuing GEA accreditation for lifts and brake testers.

CCS Garage Equipment Ltd, are seeking to employ a further Field Service Engineer in their Garage Equipment Division. The position will include Visiting our customers premises and undertaking the Service, Maintenance and Installation of Vehicle Lifts, Brake Testers, Compressors and other associated Garage Equipment. Our customer base includes Light Duty and Heavy Duty Equipment. The successful candidate will have an Engineering Qualification and Experience in Electro-mechanical and Electro-Hydraulic equipment. Experience in this particular field would be beneficial, but not compulsory. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be PC literate. A company vehicle, laptop, mobile etc will be provided. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

We are seeking to recruit several experienced field engineers to compliment our growing team of specialists. You will operate in a designated region performing a complete range of tasks including routine servicing, installations, maintenance and emergency call-outs to a wide range of equipment. The successful candidate can be based from our engineering facility in Hull or from their own home.
You will be required to work alone as well as part of a team and must be self motivated and able to work to tight deadlines. You must be able to effectively manage your own time and carry out your work to the highest engineering standards.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate with customers in an articulate and professional manner are prerequisites for this position. Overnight stays away from home may be necessary and you will be required to work outside of your designated region from time to time.

Reporting to: Service Manager
Responsibilities:
Install Garage Equipment at customers premises at various locations within the UK as required
Ensure the equipment is installed to the correct specifications and positions, and to the required standards
Carryout Service / repair work and Calibrations as required at customers premises at various locations within the UK
Co-ordinate with the Service Manager to ensure you have the correct products and equipment required for each location
Ensure the correct installation / training paperwork and documentation is completed fully and signed by the customer, and returned to the main office in Alton
Ensure site job sheets are completed fully and correctly and returned to the main office in Alton at the end of each working week, without fail.
Ensure any receipts when using Company Credit Cards are retained and sent into the main Alton office at the end of each week together with fuel receipts, without fail. Ensure any expense forms are completed and sent in to the Alton Office within 5 working days of the following month.
Ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained, including safe working practices. Report any incidents which may compromise this. Ensure any Local H&S rules are adhered to when on Customers site.
Ensure a professional and positive attitude is maintained at all times especially when customer facing
Ensure you remain clean, tidy and respectable and that Company Uniform is worn at all times
Ensure the Company vehicle you are driving is clean, tidy, rubbish free and presentable at all times, especially when on customers site.
Ensure of tools and equipment used to carry out your business are maintained, calibrated and suitable for the task.

Ensure all items are present and correct when loading Company vehicles / trailers for dispatch, which includes any missing items from our products which will cause delays and inconvenience when reaching site.
Ensure the products and lifting equipment are loaded and secured onto the Company vehicles / trailers in a safe way and that no damage occurs to them during the loading process, and during transportation.
Ensure the equipment is loaded correctly to permit a safe journey
Ensure appropriate lifting equipment is loaded onto vehicles (unless it is known there is suitable lifting equipment available on the customers site)
Ensure the correct installation / training paperwork and documentation is completed fully and signed by the customer, and returned to the main office in Alton
Ensure site job sheets are completed fully and correctly and returned to the main office in Alton, and placed in the trays for finished and open jobs.
Ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained, including safe working practices. Report any incidents which may compromise this. Ensure any local H&S rules are adhered to when on customers site.
