It has been reported today (28/01/2020) that mot tests for cars and light commercials at 15 of the government run sites has been suspended due to the lifts used in the inspection process failing its regular inspections.
The supplier is currently working with the DVS in northern Ireland to resolve the issue highlighted, full story can be foun on the BBC website.

This only goes to show the importance of having regular inspection by a competent person for all vehicle lifts in garage workshops.
