Gott Technical Services Ltd is a leading supplier of Garage Equipment, based in Morpeth 15 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and has now been established 40 years.

Over that time we have successfully serviced customers in industries such as commercial vehicle workshops, local authority workshops, bus company workshops, car dealerships, and MOT testing stations.

In providing the service to clients we supply, install, maintain and calibrate a wide range of quality equipment including two and four post vehicle lifts, brake testers, headlamp aligners, exhaust gas and smoke analysers, wheel balancers, tyre changers, wheel aligners, lubrication equipment, air compressors, pressure washers and other miscellaneous equipment.

We also service and maintain clients’ existing workshop equipment.

The geographical area that we cover mostly consists of Northern England and Southern Scotland, but we also have contracts throughout the UK.

An important part of our development plans is the expansion of our Field Service Engineer team for which we now seek applications from engineers with the ability to meet our clients’ needs. Our engineers work in the field responding to job allocations to customer sites and also periodic visits to our company base in Morpeth as and when required.

A good working knowledge and experience of installation, maintenance, inspection and breakdown repair activities in a field service environment.
Experience of installation, repair, maintenance and calibration of garage equipment.
Efficiently processing essential paperwork, documentation, reports and follow established procedures.
The ability to install equipment working from manufacturers’ instruction manuals and CAD drawings.
A multi-skilled mechanical engineer with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical expertise along with a good level of I.T. skills.
Compliance with regulations applying to Health & Safety in the workplace.
A proven ability to deliver excellent quality of service to customers.
Flexible and willing to work overtime and occasional Saturday mornings as requested.
Occasionally stay overnight away from home.
Customer focused.
Possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude towards solving customer problems.
Confident and able to work under own initiative.
Excellent communication skills – dealing with colleagues and customers at all levels.
Ensure control of own van stock to meet prompt repair deadlines.
Continue development of skills required to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
Have a full clean UK driving licence.

The Package:

Hours of work: Monday to Friday with occasional overnight stays. There will be some overtime, and occasional Saturday morning work required.

Salary: Excellent levels of pay dependent on skills, technical knowledge and experience.

Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus Bank Holidays (allowance increases with service).

Facilities: Kitted out van with fuel card, branded work wear and PPE, mobile phone, tablet computer and necessary test equipment.
